2008 Uncle Billy "Road Trip"

We've have a number of Road Trips with Uncle Billy - each was a "trip" in more ways than one. The Road Trips have included: Maryland to Maine with stops in Boston and Salem, Maryland to Florida using only coastal roads, to Colonial Williamsburg, to Key West and now to Mt. Rushmore and the Bad Lands. If you like to travel slowly, go on unplanned excursions and side-trips to only satisfy curiosity, laugh until your sides hurt, and not worry about time or mileage, then these road trips are for you. Responsible people need not apply....

This Road Trip had turn around points at Mt. Rushmore and the Bad Lands; virtually no other stops were "planned". The trip had three sections: the initial trip to get to Colorado to pick up Uncle Billy ("On the Way"), the actual "Road Trip", and going back to Florida ("Going Home"). To have any chance of the Road Trip pages to load without giving you a chance to go to sleep, we've divided it into two pages (Pages 1 & 2). Each section will have other "stuff" in addition to that listed - odds and ends picked up along the way.

To the three primary sections we've added a page especially for our grandchildren. We saw a multitude of animals and probably took too many pictures of them, but we've edited them down to a more reasonable number and put them on their own page - "Lions and Tigers and Bears - Oh My!".
