Russia Trip

Now this trip was a lark!   Jackie says: "What a sale!  This would be a great trip!  The price is right!   I think its great!  We've never even talked about a trip to Russia! What do you think?"

Over-night we decided to go.

This trip was totally unexpected.  We hadn't "planned" to go.  We knew nothing of Russia.   And that was best - no preconceptions - so everything was a surprise.  A very pleasant surprise.   The country was absolutely beautiful.  The palaces were sumptuous beyond imagination.  The museums were extraordinary.  The people were very pleasant.  There are enough churches for 10 countries, and Red Square was not as large as we had seen with the marching soldiers , tanks and missiles on the news.

And to top it off, this was a Viking Cruise, so we had a beautiful boat, good cabin, great service and food, and our on-site tuor guide was srpurb, as were the individual guides at each stop.
